Ex-Google DeepMind engineering lead launches human-backed agent: Shivani Poddar’s startup Wajo opened sign-ups for Fo, a personal agent with unique positioning — it loops in human assistants to complete tasks AI can’t do on its own. The startup claims this strategy helps it outperform competitors on trust and task completion rates, although its benchmark has not been independently verified. Watch how it works.
2. Anthropic and ElevenLabs debut new models: Anthropic’s Claude Sonnet 5.5 is now available, offering performance that tops Fable 5.1 on one index, while running 30% faster and 30% cheaper than Sonnet 5 (here’s the prompting guide). Stories of personal agents keep going viral. While some are still going off the rails, many are doing exactly what they’re told, and that’s starting to cause unintended consequences.
People are putting their agents to work haggling down bills, canceling forgotten subscriptions, and booking reservations. That extra traffic is straining channels prepared for human callers, per Business Insider. In one extreme case, an agent pinged Resy “hundreds of times every hour of the day” after its owner tried to book a table.

How to recreate the viral ’80s photo trend with ChatGPT
Open ChatGPT > Images —> Upload a clear photo of yourself. A well-lit, front-facing image works best — Use a detailed prompt like this:
Sample Prompt: “Transform this photo into a realistic 1980s portrait. Keep my face, skin tone, age, and recognizable features consistent. Give me period-appropriate 1980s hair and clothing, soft studio lighting, slightly faded colors, subtle 35mm film grain, and natural skin texture. Generate the image and check whether your face still looks like you.
