Welcome back, Superhuman. The world has been waiting on OpenAI's first real hardware swing ever since Apple designer Jony Ive joined last year. We still haven’t gotten the main event. But the lab surprised everyone yesterday with a smaller side project it’s been building — a physical keypad for controlling AI agents.

Today: Thinking Labs ships its first model, how to turn Figma designs into polished UI with ChatGPT, and get the latest prompts and trending social posts.

TODAY IN AI

1. Thinking Machines debuts top US open-weight model: After 17 months of building, former OpenAI CTO Mira Murati’s startup released Inkling — its debut model. Inkling balances strong performance with efficiency, and is built for companies to download and modify directly. It’s a notable strategy shift for a US lab, with most open-weight models coming from China (GLM 5.2, DeepSeek V4 Pro, Kimi K2.6). See how Inkling stacks up.

2. OpenAI ships a physical keypad for Codex agents: OpenAI revealed Codex Micro, a customizable mini keypad designed to make it easier to command agents. The keypad lets you prompt Codex verbally with a button, launch common workflows with a joystick, and adjust the AI’s reasoning power with a knob. It’s the first piece of hardware from OpenAI, but won’t be the last. Watch the viral release video (2M+ views).

3. Anthropic launches its enterprise deployment firm: The AI lab has teamed up with Blackstone and Hellman & Friedman to officially launch Ode with Anthropic, a standalone AI services firm. The goal: to help organizations move from experimenting with AI to integrating it into their operations by combining Anthropic’s frontier models with a team of experienced AI engineers and operators.

Gartner estimates by 2028, nearly one-third of all businesses will use agentic AI. In other words, if agentic isn’t already on your roadmap, you’re falling behind.

Algolia’s latest whitepaper will help you move towards scalable agentic solutions your org needs to grow—without a whole team of devs.

FROM THE FRONTIER

Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey is poised to break the box office this weekend — and one hopeful “slopbuster” is swimming in its wake

Made with Midjourney

The Odyssey’s AI alternative. Christopher Nolan’s long-awaited mega-blockbuster hits theaters tomorrow with a 97% on Rotten Tomatoes, the best score of his career. But one film studio is looking to piggyback on The Odyssey’s buzz with its own take on the epic tale — one generated almost entirely with AI.

Ash Koosha feature film. Ash Koosha, an AI filmmaker, released a trailer for his film ODYSSEUS: The Fall on Tuesday. The 135-minute movie explores another take on Odysseus’ journey, based on his fractured memories. Koosha handled the script and character voices, but let AI handle the actors, sets, and cameras (primarily using Kling).

The cost breakdown. Nolan’s version is nothing short of epic: a $250M budget, almost 100 days of filming, and elite performances from Matt Damon, Tom Holland, Anne Hathaway, and other superstars. Koosha’s all-in costs? Mid-five figures. Koosha compares the two as “the ultimate in human creation, compared to one man’s collaboration with AI.”

Grab your popcorn. AI video generation has evolved rapidly in just several years, and Hollywood’s directors are still split. Martin Scorsese, Peter Jackson, and George Lucas view AI as a tool for storytelling, while many others stay far away. If the comments on Koosha’s trailer are any indication, the general public won’t be lining up to watch it.

How to turn Figma designs into polished UI with ChatGPT

  • Go to ChatGPT and switch to the Work tab at the top of your screen

  • Click Plugins Connect plugins Browse all plugins

  • Search for and install Figma plugin

  • Open the code project where you want to build the design

  • In Figma, select the exact frame, screen, or component you want to turn into code

  • Copy the link to that specific Figma selection and use the prompt below in ChatGPT:

Sample Prompt: Implement this Figma design in the current project using the @Figma plugin: [Insert Figma Link]. First, pull the design context, assets, variables, and screenshot for the exact frame. Inspect the existing repository and reuse its components, design tokens, typography, spacing, icons, routing, and styling patterns. Make the interface responsive on desktop and mobile. Once the first version is complete, run the project, open the live page, compare it visually with the original Figma frame, and continue correcting the layout, spacing, typography, sizing, colors, and interactions until they closely match. Do not install Tailwind or introduce a new styling system unless the repository already uses it.

  • ChatGPT will analyze the design, build it inside your project, and reuse your existing components

  • Review the result and ask ChatGPT to fix any remaining layout, spacing, or responsiveness issues

Build an AI assistant with a real inbox people can email. Nylas Agent Accounts provisions a hosted email and calendar identity for your AI in one API call.

Dana Intelligence built theirs on Nylas: Users text Dana, and Dana replies to email, moves meetings, and books restaurants.

Meme of the day

📚 Bookmark Worthy: OpenAI’s GPT-5.6 prompting guide has been going viral since the model’s launch. One counterintuitive tip: simplifying your prompts lets the model choose the most efficient path, potentially improving results.

🖱 Clicky Update: The on-screen AI assistant Hey Clicky just got another major update: screen-aware dictation. It uses context from your screen to figure out what you need help with — and then does it. Watch the viral demo (2M views).

🪩 1970s Branding: ChatGPT reimagined what modern brands might look like as 1970s advertisements. The prompt is included in the comment section (it’s great for creating vintage shots).

🖌 New & Old School: This viral video confirms that not even the world’s smartest technology can actually use Microsoft Paint. Watch it try — and hilariously fail — to draw someone.

💻 OpenAI Sites: ChatGPT now lets you build & deploy websites straight from the app, no other platforms needed. The lab launched a demo explaining how to use it that’s gotten 1K bookmarks.
