1. Anthropic files for an IPO and opens Mythos to the EU: The Claude maker has confidentially submitted its draft S-1, beating rival OpenAI to the punch and teeing up a public offering that will value it near $1T. The company is also reportedly extending access to Mythos, its advanced cybersecurity model, to the European Union’s cybersecurity agency.
2. Nvidia introduces a “superchip” to power the next generation of Windows PCs: Nvidia claims its RTX Spark is the “most efficient PC chip ever built,” packing 1 petaflop for on-device AI computing power. The new chip anchors a fresh wave of Windows machines launching this fall, including Microsoft's Surface Laptop Ultra, which it’s billing as its most powerful Surface laptop yet (6M views).
3. Apple sets its sights on the $200B eyewear market: According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Apple plans to release its first smart glasses in late 2027, targeting the $200—$500 price range. Early versions reportedly feature oval-shaped cameras, unique colors, and multiple frame styles, with the project spearheaded internally by incoming CEO John Ternus. Read the full breakdown.

FROM THE FRONTIER
The AI boom has helped create a “unicorn graveyard” that includes 200+ startups

Concentrated capital. Roughly $250B+ in venture funding has flowed into just two companies this year: OpenAI and Anthropic. That’s been great for the AI sector at large — but not so much for non-AI startups who’ve been left fighting over the scraps.
The unicorn graveyard. Recent Pitchbook data shows that nearly half of America’s 857 unicorns haven’t raised fresh funding in three years, with over 220 former-billion-dollar startups now well below that threshold. The list includes software startups that launched pre-ChatGPT, along with consumer brands like Glossier, Rothy's, and Brooklinen.
The correction. The issue is two-fold: Since 2022, VC dollars have flowed primarily into AI, while rising interest rates caused investors to reprice startups that soared in 2021. The result in 2026: a startup market where venture capital has become hyper-concentrated in a few AI giants, which are about to enter public markets.
Going public. Anthropic, OpenAI, and SpaceXAI are all preparing for IPOs later this year, eyeing valuations that approach or exceed $1T. It’ll be the first time investors can dissect their financials, marking a major test of whether the AI gold rush ends in validation — or repricing.

ChatGPT Image 2.0: Transform the photo i've attached into a delicate minimalist hand-drawn children’s illustration with a soft whimsical fairy-tale aesthetic. Use simple elongated shapes, thin imperfect hand-drawn lines, flat pastel colors, minimal details, and a cute doll-like character style with rosy cheeks, tiny facial features, and simplified anatomy. Add subtle paper texture, soft pencil and pastel shading, watercolor softness, and a clean white background with small stars or sparkles.Stylize the clothing in a playful storybook way with simplified shapes and gentle decorative details. The overall mood should feel airy, cozy, naive, and charming, like a modern Scandinavian nursery postcard or children’s book illustration. Avoid photorealism, 3D, cinematic lighting, glossy surfaces, complex shadows, realistic anatomy, and hyper-detail.IN CASE YOU MISSED IT
