Welcome back, Superhuman. For months, Anthropic kept its most powerful model under lock and key, calling it “too dangerous” for the public. That changed yesterday with Claude Fable 5, which brings Mythos-tier performance to everyone (with safety guardrails). The internet is buzzing — with Anthropic’s launch post racking up 20M+ views within hours.

Today: Gemini upgrades its real-time translation, how to turn your images into Canva designs, and get the latest prompts and trending social posts.

TODAY IN AI

1. Anthropic releases its first public Mythos-class model: Fable 5 is in the same performance tier as Claude Mythos, representing the most capable AI Anthropic has ever released. The model topped nearly all benchmarks and its standout strength is tackling long, complex tasks. It’s available on paid plans till June 22. Try it out in Claude paid plans, see how it stacks up against other models, or read the Best Practices for Prompting Claude Fable 5.

2. Google launches Gemini 3.5 Live Translate for real-time translation: Gemini 3.5 Live Translate is a speech-to-speech model that auto-detects and translates spoken audio across 70+ language, while preserving the speaker's tone and pacing. It generates speech continuously, staying just a few seconds behind the speaker throughout a session. Now live in the Google Translate app and rolling out to Google Meet. Watch how it works in Google Meet.

3. Lovable crosses $500M in annualized revenue and one million weekly projects: The vibe coding startup has become one of Europe’s fastest-growing startups since launching in late 2023. Its recent Build Economy report shows that 80% of its users are non-technical and 66% work outside of tech entirely, led by education, retail, and media.

News flash: Great AI experiences don’t start with prompts, they start with retrieval. Without the right search stack, even the best models hallucinate, miss context, and return unreliable results.

In Algolia’s latest whitepaper, learn how top devs architect AI-powered search foundations built for speed, relevance, and scale.

Whether you’re starting from scratch, or just need a high-level review, the guide covers everything you need to know: Hybrid retrieval, RAG interfaces, ingestion pipelines, observability, governance with secured API keys, lifecycle management, and more.

FROM THE FRONTIER

Is AI the future of work or a bubble? Why not both?

Trillion-dollar filings. US stock markets have never seen a trillion-dollar IPO before. Now they might get three within a few months, with SpaceX, OpenAI, and Anthropic all eyeing listings this year. The valuations are sky-high — but the financials are making some investors sweat.

Chasing profitability. SpaceX lost $4.9B in 2025. OpenAI projects $14B in losses this year. Anthropic expects to be cash flow positive by 2028, but is burning through billions to get there. The lofty valuations aren’t based on financial success, but rather on the expectation that AI and space travel will eventually be profitable. The implication? Public markets may not be so forgiving, and could readjust their valuations.

Dot-com comparisons. The AI boom has drawn comparisons to the dot-com bubble of the late 1990s, when investors poured billions into buzzy internet startups with little or no revenue. The NASDAQ peaked in March 2000. Then dropped nearly 80% over the next two years.

The thing is. Dot com investors were inherently right. The internet did change the world, but not every startup played a part in that revolution. Jeff Bezos thinks a similar shakeout could happen in AI, telling CNBC that every AI experiment is getting funded right now, including potentially bad ones. SpaceX, owner of xAI, is set to debut this Friday — and the market’s reaction could set the tone for the rest of the year.

How to turn your images into Canva designs

  • Go to Gemini and sign up

  • Enter your prompt to generate image

Sample Prompt: Create an image of a male tennis player reaching toward ultra-wide lens, racket in hand, giant tennis ball in foreground. Forced perspective, low angle, blue sky, outdoor court. Cinematic sports ad, vivid summer lighting, vertical 4:5

  • Once generated, type ‘@Canva make it editable’ and link your Canva account in Gemini

  • Gemini will send the image directly to Canva as an editable design

  • Open the design in Canva and customize text, graphics, colors, layouts, and other elements as needed

AI isn’t about ROI—yet. It’s a positioning move. It reshapes how work happens, how value is generated and how advantage accumulates. The CFO’s job isn’t defending AI spend. It’s making the cost of delay visible in financial terms. AI fails when companies hesitate. With 55% of executives tying future advantage to execution speed, waiting is the risk. Finance can set the pace—if it shifts:

  •  From explaining variance to designing financial systems

  •  From control to conditions for experimentation

  • From oversight to scaling AI with the C-suite
