ChatGPT gets 24/7 shareable agents

ALSO: How to create viral LinkedIn posts with AI

Welcome back, Superhuman. OpenAI is working overtime. Just one day after releasing its new image model, the AI lab dropped shareable agents that work 24/7. Oh, and Claude Mythos (the model so dangerous Anthropic won’t release it) may have gotten hacked.

Today: Learn about OpenAI’s agents, how to create viral LinkedIn posts with AI, and get the latest prompts and trending social posts.

1. OpenAI launches workspace agents: ChatGPT’s workspace agents can help you prepare presentations, write code, or respond to messages — just describe the job and ChatGPT builds the worker. The agents are shareable with teammates and designed to be improved over time. Available now in research preview at no additional cost through May 6 for Business, Enterprise, Edu, and Teachers plans. Watch them in action or learn 5 types of agents you can build.

2. Claude Mythos may have been hacked: Unauthorized users have reportedly gained access to Anthropic’s powerful unreleased model through a third-party platform. The hackers allegedly guessed the model’s online location, based on knowledge of the naming format Anthropic used previously. Anthropic says it has found no evidence its systems were compromised.

3. SpaceX strikes $60B deal for the right to buy Cursor: Elon Musk’s space company is “working closely” with the AI coding platform to create the world’s best coding and knowledge work AI. The arrangement gives SpaceX the right to acquire Cursor later this year for $60B or pay $10B. The deal deepens Musk’s ambition to transform SpaceX, which now owns xAI, into an AI leader.

Between app-switching and pointless meetings, workers are losing 100+ minutes per day.

What is tokenmaxxing? Meet the productivity trend taking over Silicon Valley

Made with Midjourney

The trend. You’ve probably seen viral videos or interviews about “tokenmaxxing” — the practice of burning through AI tokens to look as productive as possible. But is it actually a legitimate way to stay ahead? Or just an internet meme?

The origins. Tokenmaxxing kicked off when Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang said he'd be "deeply alarmed" if engineers weren’t burning hundreds of thousands of dollars on tokens. A Meta employee ran with it, building an internal leaderboard to rank which staffers used the most tokens. The thinking: employees using more tokens are more productive. At least on paper.

Believers and backlash. Some companies are taking tokenmaxxing very seriously. Ramp Labs has seen a 13X surge in AI token spend among customers since January, and companies like Uber are blowing through their AI budgets. But other executives are pushing back — arguing the practice is easy to game and rewards token consumption over actual business outcomes.

Meeting in the middle. LinkedIn co-founder Reid Hoffman suggests a middle ground: tracking AI usage matters, but tracking how people use it matters more. His advice? Encourage team-wide experimentation, then run regular check-ins to surface what's actually working.
