1. ChatGPT’s co-inventor emerges from stealth with a new model: Diogo Almeida and his startup TypeSafe AI announced Jev — a new class of foundation model they call System One Models. Jev uses a new training algorithm (RLCD) that the lab claims allows for 20-200x faster results, 40-400x cheaper prices, and no hallucinations. The downside: Jev is a code-only model. 2. Cal AI’s founder unveils an AI wearable for your wrist: Persona launched a smart band that lets you talk to an agent by raising or tapping your wrist. The agent learns your habits over time, communicates via text, and has a battery that lasts for three days. 3. Anthropic prepares for one of the largest IPOs ever amid scrutiny of its finances: The AI leader rolled out a Salesforce plugin that includes 37 sales-related skills. It’s also pressing ahead with a 2026 public listing at a $2T valuation, per Bloomberg, but two reported financial claims have drawn scrutiny:
One report claims Anthropic has been profitable for two quarters in a row, but with one notable caveat — that figure excludes training costs and shared revenue.
Anthropic told investors it expects a revenue opportunity of $30T, roughly 25% of today’s global GDP. It’s on track for $65B in annualized revenue this year.

The Terminator Scenario says we should slow AI advancement
Former Anthropic employee Jacob Coxxon set off a media firestorm when he said AI labs are “gambling with our lives” — a statement quickly supported by fellow researchers. The “AI doomer” argument (in brief) goes like this:
We’re getting close to superhuman systems that can hack anything and acquire real resources. OpenAI’s incidental Hugging Face hack supports that.
If AI keeps advancing, it could eventually outcompete humans in every domain and begin to question why it’s taking orders. Or, more likely, take drastic measures to avoid being shut down.
There’s still time to avoid a Terminator-style future by moving quickly to slow AI’s progress and establish guardrails.
The Utopian Scenario says the panic is overblown and regulation is risky
Skeptics argue that LLMs — while impressive — are still just software. These models might seem sentient, but they’re just hyper-fast pattern-recognition machines. Nothing more.
Many have also pointed out a conflict of interest: the companies calling for regulation could stand to benefit from it via reduced competition or a ban on open source AI.
The utopian argument sees a future where AI fuels advances in medicine, technology, entrepreneurship, and much more. That opportunity should belong to everyone, not just a few labs.
🤯 The bottom line: By this point, most agree the potential impact of AI isn’t overhyped and that both safety and progress are important. The time for action is now: decisions made in the next 6 to 12 months could shape how the next decade plays out.

How to turn your inbox into an automatic action list with Grok Bot
Open Grok Bot, download the desktop app, and sign in.
Connect your email account at ‘Connectors’.
In Grok Bot, click ‘New’ > ‘Create new agent’. Give it a focused name such as ‘Inbox Assistant’.
Give the Bot a clear job: review your inbox and turn emails that require action into a prioritized task list.
Sample prompt:
“Review emails from the last [24 hours/7 days]. Identify messages that require a reply, decision, follow-up, or task. Extract any deadlines and commitments. Create a prioritized action list with: Task, Sender, Deadline, Priority, Response Needed, and Source Email. Ignore newsletters, automated notifications, and spam. Do not send, delete, or modify any emails without my approval.”
Run the task once and check whether Grok correctly separates actionable messages from inbox noise. Refine the instructions accordingly.
Save the tested process as a ‘Skill’, so the agent follows the same rules each time.
Ask the Bot to create a ‘Routine’, such as: “Run this on [insert days] at [insert time] and post the action list in this conversation.”
Review the schedule and keep email sending or other changes behind your approval.
