1. OpenAI raises $122B at an $852B valuation: The ChatGPT maker officially closed its latest round — anchored by Amazon, Nvidia, and SoftBank — making it the largest private funding round in history. The deal also revealed that OpenAI will be added to several ARK Invest exchange-traded funds (ETFs), which would let regular people invest in OpenAI (though no timeline was given).

2. Anthropic accidentally leaks Claude Code’s source code: The engine that powers Claude Code (roughly 1,900 files and 512,000 lines of code) was discovered by a researcher on X, offering a closer look at how the viral tool works as well as what’s on the roadmap (One X user identified 20+ unshipped features). This is Anthropic's second leak in less than a week — with the first revealing Mythos, its secretive upcoming model.

3. Softr launches no-code platform to develop production-ready business apps: Softr’s AI-native platform lets anyone build software that requires more complex components like a database, permissions, or user interface. Acing exams. AI models have aced the CPA exam, the bar exam, and other notoriously difficult tests. But according to the ARC-AGI-3 interactive reasoning test, AI still lacks one critical skill: the ability to learn.

Playing video games. The ARC-AGI-3 drops AI models into a video game level with no instructions, rules, or goals — forcing them to figure out both how to play and how to win efficiently. Most humans can solve the test easily. But leading models? Not so much. Gemini, Claude, ChatGPT, and Grok all scored less than 1%.

The knowledge gap. Today’s most advanced models are essentially incredible memorization machines. They’re trained on immense data sets and then recall that information quickly to answer queries in natural language. But memorization isn’t the same as thinking.
