Welcome back, Superhuman. If you’ve been assuming that AI can’t handle your complicated multi-step workflow, it probably can now. Claude Cowork just got an upgrade that lets it learn new skills by watching your screen — just hit record, walk it through a task, and it’ll remember the exact steps for next time.

1. US and China consider export controls amid growing AI rivalry: Beijing is reportedly weighing new export controls on AI and chip technology, a move that would block foreign users from downloading Chinese open-weight models to local servers. The Trump administration is debating a reciprocal move, along with potentially sanctioning China over alleged AI IP theft via model distillation. Read more.

2. Claude Cowork can learn new skills through screen recordings: Instead of writing instructions by hand, you can now walk Claude Cowork through a task on your screen and it’ll memorize the workflow as a reusable skill — expanding the level of customization that Cowork is capable of. The new feature is now live on paid plans. Just click “Record a skill” in the + menu on the desktop app to get started Learn more.

3. Google launches new Gemini models built for the agent era: Google rolled out a trio of models built to make running agents cheaper, faster, and more reliable at scale — Gemini 3.6 Flash, 3.5 Flash-Lite, and 3.5 Flash Cyber. The first two are rolling out now in the Gemini app, API, and other Gemini platforms. The tech giant also confirmed that Gemini 3.5 Pro is coming soon and that pre-training has already begun on Gemini 4.

Confident guessing isn’t really any better than just guessing, is it? LLM answers should be grounded in real, genuine facts, not hallucinated from thin air.

FROM THE FRONTIER

Bit Tech has $1.65T in “hidden debt” that doesn’t show up on its balance sheet — and investors are getting nervous

Made with Midjourney

Big Tech’s debt pile. Borrowing money to fund growth is a routine part of corporate finance. But Big Tech has taken it to another level. Companies like Alphabet, Microsoft, Amazon, Meta, and Oracle have a massive debt pile coming due — and the US economy is riding on their ability to pay it.

Keeping it off the books. Big Tech has roughly $1.35T in reported debt on the books. But a new report from Nikkei Asia found that they also have $1.65T in “hidden debt” — or financial obligations not included on balance sheets. This primarily includes GPU contracts and data center leases, which aren’t accounted for until those facilities are up and running.

The big concern. Some investors are worried that Big Tech is more leveraged than their financial statements make it seem. As data centers come online, that hidden debt will start to come due. If AI demand doesn’t keep climbing, these projects could end up being much more expensive than they’re worth.

Holding up the economy. The Atlantic estimates that AI-linked firms have added roughly $27T in value over the past three years, equal to about 36% of the entire US stock market today, meaning a Big Tech stock selloff would have ripple effects throughout the economy. An update is coming soon: most of Big Tech reports earnings over the next two weeks.

How to turn your research into an interactive app

  • Go to Claude and turn on ‘Artifacts’ from Settings → Capabilities

  • Upload your research files, notes, PDFs, etc. or paste your raw research directly into the chat and enter the prompt:

“Summarize this research into the most important insights, patterns, data points, and user takeaways.”

  • Once research is complete, ask Claude to turn it into an interactive app:

“Create an interactive app from this research. Include a clean UI, filters, clickable sections, charts where useful, short explanations, and a simple user flow. Build it as a Claude Artifact.”

  • Publish or share the final app link

Your most important moments happen out loud, off-screen—but they never make it into your notes, your docs, or your AI.

Memoket Gem changes that. Just wear it: it records what's said, summarizes it, and syncs the details straight into the tools you already use—Claude, ChatGPT, and your calendars.

Final Early Bird call—reserve for $5, with a free year of the app included.
