1. OpenArt launches Worlds, a tool that turns a single prompt or photo into a 3D environment: OpenArt Worlds generates a fully explorable 3D world from one image or text prompt, letting creators digitally step inside and move freely through the space (tutorial below). Users can drop in characters and elements after the environment is built, then capture production-ready shots — all without regenerating or losing scene consistency. 2. Perplexity Computer now connects to your health apps, while Comet browser comes to iPhone: Perplexity Health lets Pro and Max subscribers sync data from wearable devices, lab results, and medical records to create personalized dashboards or tools. Users can ask questions about their personal health data, overlap it with medical journals, and track trends over time. Separately, Perplexity announced that its AI-assisted Comet internet browser is now available on iOS as a free download.

3. Google upgrades AI Studio into a full-stack vibe coding platform: AI Studio now lets users generate production-ready apps thanks to integrations with Antigravity’s coding agent and Firebase’s backend capabilities. The new platform offers multiplayer experiences, connection to real-world services, and a smarter agent that remembers where projects left off and completes tasks while you’re away. FROM THE FRONTIER

Is AI creating an “exoskeleton” around your skills?

Made with Midjourney

Beware the exoskeleton. Incorporating AI into your workflow is crucial in today’s workplace — but new research shows that over-dependence could be eroding your skills. Researchers have referred to this as the exoskeleton effect: AI strengthens productivity in the moment, but weakens the skills underneath when the tool is taken away.

Working with AI. Researchers identified six common ways people use AI at work, and the pattern was clear: how you use AI determines whether your skills sharpen or decay. Participants who let AI complete the entire task (either initially, gradually, or through constant troubleshooting) finished the fastest — but scored the lowest.

The best work patterns. Top performers shared one trait: they stayed in the driver’s seat, cognitively. Rather than letting AI one-shot the task, they double-checked all outputs independently, pushed for detailed explanations, or accepted AI's output and then drilled into it with follow-ups until they fully understood the work.

Maintaining the cognitive load. The takeaway isn't to start using AI less — it's to avoid outsourcing your thinking. The workers who performed the best still used AI throughout the entire task. The difference? They treated it as a sparring partner, not a cheat sheet.
