DeepSeek's V4 challenges Opus 4.7 and GPT-5.4

ALSO: How to compare multiple AI models side by side using one prompt

Welcome back, Superhuman. DeepSeek just matched America's best models at a fraction of the price (again). The US State Department thinks foul play is involved, and formally accused Chinese labs of copying American companies. In other news, the viral AI cursor Clicky got a serious upgrade.

Today: Learn about DeepSeek’s V4 models, how to compare multiple AI models side by side using one prompt, and get the latest prompts and trending social posts.

1. DeepSeek releases V4 models at a fraction of frontier pricing: The two new open-weight models, V4-Pro and V4-Flash, top open-source benchmarks, with V4-Pro staying competitive with GPT-5.4 and Opus 4.7 at roughly 1/6 the cost. But the launch comes with controversy: US officials just issued a global warning accusing Chinese labs, DeepSeek included, of stealing IP from American companies. Explore the models here.

2. Clicky levels up with agent abilities: Clicky — the AI-powered cursor that shows you where to click — can now spawn sub-agents to complete computer tasks, control native Mac apps, and build custom software tools on the fly. Just tell it what to do, like research a topic, organize files, or build tools, and the on-screen cursor handles the rest. Watch Clicky in action or try it here.

3. Odyssey reveals its most powerful world model yet: Odyssey-2 Max is a new general-purpose world model that simulates physical environments in real time — a category some researchers see as the next frontier beyond language models. Unlike AI video tools that rely on text prompts, Odyssey-2 Max generates each new frame from prior states and user actions. Watch it in action.

Scaling AI in regulated industries like pharmaceuticals or banking is a monumental challenge—and therefore, a massive opportunity.

Learn best scaling practices at Rev, the one-day, practitioner-led conference where senior leaders share the playbook on scaling AI from experiment to production:

  • Sessions from Astrazeneca, Capital One, BMS, Fannie Mae and more

  • Covers governance, MLOps, model risk, statistical computing, and agentic AI

  • Dedicated networking with decision makers in your industry

FROM THE FRONTIER

Everything you might’ve missed from Google’s flagship conference last week

Made with Midjourney

The shifting conversation. Google's Cloud Next conference wrapped last week. The biggest takeaway: the corporate conversation is quickly shifting from "Can we build an agent?" to "How do we manage thousands of them?" — and the search giant announced several new tools to make it possible.

Enterprise Agents. The new Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform is Alphabet’s new platform to build, scale, and optimize fleets of agents. Use the no-code Agent Designer to build custom agents, or pull pre-built templates from the Cloud Marketplace. The platform supports 200+ leading models, including third-party options.

Workspace Intelligence. Workspace Intelligence bridges context between Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Drive, turning all your files into a cohesive knowledge graph. Ask Gemini in Chat is the new way to run this intelligence: just state your goal in Google Chat, and Gemini works behind the scenes to deliver the final product. See what else is new across Sheets, Docs, and Slides here.

The Apple overhaul. Cloud CEO Thomas Kurian reminded everyone that Apple's upcoming Siri overhaul will be powered by Gemini. The overhaul is expected to include a standalone Siri app, persistent chat logs, and a more traditional chatbot experience.

Other updates worth knowing. The company also rolled out two new 8th-gen tensor processing units: TPU 8t for training and TPU 8i for inference. Learn all 260 announcements from the conference here.

  1. Go to Anuma and sign up

  2. Select "Council Mode" in the new chat

  3. Pick up to four AI models — choose any combination (e.g., Claude, GPT, Gemini, Grok)

  4. Write your prompt in a single input field

Sample Prompt: "I'm considering relocating from New York. Compare the best cities in the world for quality of life, cost of living, safety, and career opportunities in tech. Give me your top pick and why."

  1. Responses stream in side by side as each model finishes

  2. Compare the answers — different models have different strengths (Claude for nuanced writing, GPT for structured tasks, Gemini for real-time knowledge)

  3. Tap "Unify” answer to combine the best parts from all models into one clear response.

  4. Use the final answer or continue the conversation with any individual model

The culprit is data readiness.

Enterprises say they’re ready for AI, but Cloudera’s new survey shows that while 96% of orgs have adopted AI, 79% say limited data access is tanking their ROI.

The good news is that with a few strategies, you can fix your data and realize AI value.

PROMPT STATION

Pre-Mortem Project Analysis

Prompt: **Role:** Your role is to find ways projects can go sideways and figure out how to prevent it.

**Task:** Do a "pre-mortem" for this project. Pretend it's already a huge disaster. Your job is to figure out the most likely reasons it tanked, what exactly went wrong, and what we can do *now* to make sure that doesn't happen. Make it super clear what could go wrong, why, and what to do about it.

**Project Description:**
[PASTE YOUR PROJECT DESCRIPTION HERE. Tell me all the details about what it's supposed to do, who its for, when it needs to be done, and any tricky parts.]

**Analysis Steps:**
**Imagine Failure:** This thing has gone belly-up. How did it happen?
**Identify Failure Points:** For each reason, what specific things, choices, or screw-ups caused it?
**Develop Mitigation Strategies:** For each screw-up, what concrete things can we do *right now* to stop it?

**Output Format:**
Use a markdown table like this:
- **Potential Failure Reason:** What might go wrong?
- **Specific Failure Points:** What exactly would cause that?
- **Mitigation Strategies:** What do we do to prevent it?
