FROM THE FRONTIER

An agent internet is already under construction — and it could be here much earlier than you think

Made with Midjourney

Agents enter the workforce. Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang estimates his company's 75,000 employees will eventually work alongside 7.5 million AI agents — a staggering ratio of 100:1. He's not alone. Last fall, McKinsey found that 62% of organizations are already experimenting with AI agents. But there’s one major issue: these new-age workers aren’t designed to work on our internet.

Early innings. The global AI agent market was valued at just $5.43B in 2024 — but Precedence Research expects it to reach $236B by 2034, a CAGR of roughly 46%. Right now, many agents are hitching a ride on their owners’ email, computer, or Telegram channel. But for the industry to mature, agents will eventually need their own tools, credentials, and compute.

Building the agent layer. Dozens of startups are already hard at work. AgentMail ($6M in funding) gives agents their own email inboxes, while AgentPhone hands them a phone number to call and text from. Both Kite and Sponge let agents make secure payments with their own wallet. And Browserbase (valued at $300M) gives them a browser to freely roam the web.

The Agentic Web. Emails. Phone numbers. Wallets. Browsers. Stitch these pieces together and you start to see the early scaffolding for an agent-native internet. Leading researchers call it the Agentic Web — and most people haven’t noticed it’s under construction.

THE AI ACADEMY

How to Reverse-Engineer Viral Videos with AI

  • Find a viral video on Instagram, TikTok or YouTube (look for high views, saves, and shares)

  • Download the video

  • Upload it to Gemini

  • Ask Gemini to analyze the video and generate a 30-second script based on the hook, pacing, and structure

Sample Prompt: Analyze this video and break down the hook (first 3 seconds), the structure and pacing, and explain why it works psychologically. Then create a new 30-second script using the same format for this topic: [insert topic]. Make it fast-paced, punchy, and optimized for Instagram/TikTok.

  • Gemini will generate a script you can use to create your next viral video
