ALSO: How to turn your ideas into motion graphics

Welcome back, Superhuman. Many experts and critics predicted that humans will hate AI-generated “slop.“ Not only do most people love the “slop”, they can’t even tell it’s made with AI. My social feeds are full of viral AI-generated videos. One example: An AI-made video of dogs saving babies has over 6 million views. Be careful out there.
Today: Wikipedia claims AI is killing human traffic, learn how to turn your ideas into motion graphics, and get the latest prompts and trending social posts.
TODAY IN AI
1. Andrej Karpathy pumps the brakes on AI agent hype: On a viral podcast appearance, one of AI’s most well-regarded researchers threw cold water on the "year of agents" narrative sweeping Silicon Valley. He claimed much of the output is still "slop", arguing that agents lack basic cognitive abilities, reliable memory, and are still roughly a decade away from solving these deep-seated problems. Elon Musk begged to differ, challenging the OpenAI co-founder to go head-to-head with Grok 5.
2. Wikipedia claims AI is killing human traffic: The nonprofit has revealed that AI chatbots and search summaries are eating into its page views, down 8% year-over-year. Fewer eyeballs could potentially mean fewer volunteer editors, less funding, and ultimately less reliable content on the internet’s go-to source for information. The foundation has urged AI companies and search engines to be more transparent around sourcing and give users clearer pathways back to original sources.
3. OpenAI finds itself in a pickle over math solution claims: In a now-deleted post on X, some OpenAI employees claimed that GPT-5 had cracked 10 previously unsolved Erdős math problems that had been "open for decades." X users pushed back straight away, pointing out that the chatbot had just regurgitated obscure research already available on the internet, forcing the employees to backpedal and delete the posts.
PRESENTED BY WORKOS
Most AI apps never make it past the prototype phase because of compliance gaps, security issues, and weak infrastructure. This guide outlines how successful teams move quickly from idea to launch.
WorkOS gives you the APIs and enterprise features—SSO, SCIM, RBAC, and Audit Logs—so your team can go from prototype to production, and fast.

Inside OpenAI's quest to build the world's smartest coding assistant

Made with Midjourney
If you walk around a typical Tech event in San Francisco and ask developers what they’re most excited about lately, the name “Codex“ pops up frequently. OpenAI’s new coding agent is gaining popularity among programmers, despite a long list of established alternatives. But why?
The AI coding wars aren't just about the models. According to Thibault Sottiaux, Engineering Lead for Codex, the real battle is in the infrastructure, tooling, and design choices that most people never see. "What makes Codex special is that we have trained it to be very effective and be able to decide when to spend little effort and when to spend like a lot of effort," he explains.
That insight shaped Codex's entire philosophy. Unlike "vibe coding" tools that generate impressive demos, Codex prioritizes production-ready code. The difference: One OpenAI team deliberately designed their entire codebase not for human developers, but to maximize Codex's efficiency. "They are being hyper productive," reports Sottiaux.
The interface question still remains unsolved. Sottiaux’s team doesn't have KPIs; instead, they measure success qualitatively: "Do we actually have momentum? Do we meet the users where, you know, they expect us to be?" They're watching how workflows evolve week by week, because "nobody really knows, like, you know, what the right interface to these agents are gonna be."
His prediction on vibe coding vs production-grade AI-assisted code: The divide between "vibe coding" tools for quick prototypes and professional coding agents will eventually disappear. "Eventually, I think that the two meet," he says.

Midjourney Prompt: A vintage red pickup truck sits on a quiet grassy hill beneath a breathtaking night sky. Two people relax in the truck’s open bed, wrapped in soft blankets, gazing up at a sprawling constellation glowing across the heavens. The stars shimmer in hues of blue, violet, and silver, painting the sky with cosmic beauty. The worn chrome of the old truck reflects the starlight, its faded red paint glowing softly under the cosmic glow.
