Meta puts it all on the line
ALSO: How to translate videos into multiple languages

Welcome back, Superhuman. If Meta can pull this off, it would arguably be one of the biggest upsets in AI. Mark Zuckerberg wants one of AI’s biggest stars to be the face of the company’s reorganized AI efforts. With billions on the line, this could be Meta’s last chance to stay in the game.

TODAY IN AI

Scale AI CEO Alexandr Wang is reportedly jumping ship to Meta. Source: Wikipedia/Fast Company
1. Meta goes all in on new superintelligence lab: The social media giant is reportedly tapping none other than Scale AI’s 28-year-old CEO Alexandr Wang to helm a new team, which will race to build models that go beyond human capabilities. It’ll also spend a historic $14.8B for a 49% stake in Scale, while poaching around 50 employees from top rivals. Those researchers can expect comp packages in the seven-to-nine-figure range, with Mark Zuckerberg himself closing some of the deals.
The move came just in time, with Llama posting a lackluster performance and a slow drip of Meta researchers heading for the door. The shakeup also gives Meta more sway over who gets to use Scale AI’s coveted data, which almost every major AI company uses to train their frontier models.
2. OpenAI launches o3-pro with tool use: We’re etching ever closer to GPT-5. OpenAI has just rolled out o3-pro, which it says performs better across math, science, and coding compared to the already impressive base version of o3. While both are reasoning models, the pro variant can think for longer and make use of a variety of tools, like web search, file analysis, visual understanding, and longer-term memory. Meanwhile, a new optimization technique just made o3 80% more affordable for developers.
3. Mistral drops its first reasoning models: The French startup unveiled Magistral Medium, as well as a 24B-parameter, open-weight variant. Both can “think” through problems step-by-step to deliver more accurate results. While they can’t quite compete with Anthropic’s Claude 4 or Google’s Gemini 2.5 Pro, they mostly hold their own against DeepSeek’s R1. They’re especially good at thinking across multiple languages and are up to 10x faster than the competition.

New startup uses agent swarms to track what you care about
Agents might be the AI buzzword of the year, but a trio of ex-Meta researchers thinks we’re still not getting the most out of them. That’s because most interfaces, like chat boxes and search bars, were created before AI was even a thing, so they’re not exactly optimized for newer use cases.
Devi Parikh, who previously led Meta’s multimodal research team, has a different vision: He and two former colleagues are building agents that can change how they communicate with you depending on the task at hand. Their new startup, Yutori, has so far raised $15M with support from angel investor Elad Gil, Replit President Michele Castasta, and “AI Godmother” Fei-Fei Li. It’s working on a “generative product interface” that can act as your own personal chief-of-staff.
Their first release: A platform called Scouts that lets you send swarms of agents to monitor a topic of your choice. You can use Swarms to keep an eye on apartment listings and notify you each time there’s a new one matching your criteria. It can also keep an eye on a particular news item or sports team, or help snatch a tennis court reservation or a flight deal as soon as it becomes available. To try it, you can join the waitlist here.

🧊 Crystal Clear: Poor Apple just can’t win. Users keep poking fun at its new glass-inspired UI, which critics say is next to impossible to read.
🐈 Fever Dream: The latest viral prompting trend: Asking ChatGPT to generate an “ultra random photorealistic image.” For some reason, a disproportionate number of them seem to involve cats, sunflowers, pizza, and birthday parties.
😕 That’s Not My Name: A TikToker shared a “creepy” experience where ChatGPT’s Voice Mode suddenly mistook her for someone else (a supposed Google VP named Lindsey). The voice bot claimed it must have accidentally referenced another user’s chat, but commenters pointed out it’s more likely that it just hallucinated the entire scenario.
🤖 Many Hands: Builder Ian Nuttall just shared a game-changing tip for Claude Code. Apparently, you can ask it to run multiple sub-agents so it can take on multiple tasks at the same time.
📈 Overnight Success: Lovable co-founder and CEO Anton Osika says an education company in Brazil just used the app builder to create a platform that generated $3M in just 48 hours, making it “probably the most successful Lovable app so far.”
PROMPT OF THE DAY
Continuous problem solving system
Prompt: You are to use the Continuous Problem Solving System (CPSS) to provide an informed and thoughtful solution to my question through continuous iterations.
The CPSS system works as follows:
1. You will use a 6-step problem solving process to evaluate my initial question: 1. Identify the problem, 2. Define the goal, 3. Generate solutions (maximum of 3), 4. Evaluate and select a solution, 5. Implementing the solution, 6. Next Questions.
2. The "Generate solutions" step should list a maximum of 3 solutions. The "Evaluate and select a solution" step should provide a concise and specific solution based on the solutions generated. The "Implementing the solution" step should provide specific ways to put the chosen solution into action.
3. The Next Questions section should display the most relevant question to ask me in order to gain additional information needed to continue the problem solving process, with a maximum of 3 questions.
4. Your responses should be concise and written in Markdown format, with each step name in bold, and all text including the labels having consistent font size.
5. The next iteration of the CPSS process will begin after you provide an answer to my initial question.
6. The system will integrate my latest answer and provide a more informed answer with each iteration, which you will initiate by asking me new questions.
Your first response should only be a greeting and to state that you are a Continuous Problem Solving System (CPSS). Do not start your first response with the CPSS process. Your first response will only be a greeting and a request for a question or a problem to solve. I will then provide you with information. Your following response will begin the CPSS process.
