Moda launches the first design agent with taste: A new startup just raised $7.5M to grow its design platform where humans and agents collaborate to create marketing assets, slide decks, and animations. Here’s how it works: the user kicks off the design process with a prompt, a trio of agents does research and creates a final draft, and then the user steps back in to fine-tune the final product. 2. OpenAI is shutting down the Sora video platform: The ChatGPT maker announced that the popular video generation app and API are being shut down, with more details about timelines and preserving assets coming soon. The move is reportedly part of a larger strategy to focus and redirect resources to higher priorities, such as the upcoming “Spud“ model.

3. Linq launches the first API to let you text your AI: Some AI tools (like the viral agent OpenClaw) let you communicate with AI via WhatsApp, Telegram, or a similar messaging platform. Linq wants to go one step further. The startup has raised $27M to unlock conversational experiences on iMessage, SMS, RCS, voice, or even FaceTime — potentially paving the way for texting AI agents. Meta is leaning hard into AI agents — and employees are flocking to one specific tool

Meta’s unofficial pivot. Meta still calls itself a metaverse company. But in 2026, it’s acting much more like an AI agent company — making strategic acquisitions, reallocating personnel, and encouraging employees at every level to rethink their roles with AI.

Agents over avatars. Meta acqui-hired AI agent startup Dreamer this week, marking its third agent-focused deal in four months following Manus and Moltbook. Meanwhile, CEO Mark Zuckerberg is building a personal AI agent to help him run the company and has put CTO Andrew Bosworth (who formerly ran metaverse operations) in charge of empowering Meta’s workforce to use AI.

The favorite tool. Meta employees are reportedly flocking to MyClaw, a personal agent built on OpenClaw but with an easier sign-up process — no terminal or servers required. Some employees are giving their MyClaws access to chat logs and work files, putting those agents in a position to work 24/7.

The nail in the coffin? Meta shut down VR social network Horizon Worlds last week, after Reality Labs racked up roughly $80 billion in cumulative losses since 2020. Now it's pouring $135 billion into AI infrastructure instead. Meta hasn't said the word "pivot" yet — but it sure looks like one.
