Welcome back, Superhuman. We continue to see evidence that AI is growing cheaper and stronger, simultaneously. Take yesterday: OpenAI released a lower-cost GPT-6 variant at lunchtime. Before the day was up, the lab’s president unveiled three new scientific breakthroughs from an internal model.

Today: Anthropic shares its code review process, how to create a brand kit with Claude, and get the latest prompts and trending social posts.

TODAY IN AI

1. OpenAI announces three scientific discoveries and a new model: The AI lab’s new scientific findings span math (harmonic analysis), computer science (complexity theory), and physics (quantum field theory), though all three still await independent verification. Separately, the lab rolled out GPT-6.1 Terra, a fast, lower-cost alternative to its flagship GPT-6 Astra that excels in computer use. It’s available now on all paid plans in Work and Codex.

2. Microsoft offers buyouts to roughly 60,000 employees: The tech leader is extending voluntary buyouts to about a quarter of its workforce, with packages including tenure-based pay, continued stock vesting, and temporary healthcare. The announcement lands a few months after Microsoft disclosed $116B in fiscal 2026 spending, primarily going towards property and equipment for data centers. Employees reportedly have until early December to decide.

3. Anthropic engineer reveals the lab’s code review process: Anthropic has stated that Claude now writes about 90% of the code for Claude Code, with daily merges rising from 2,500 in May to over 30,000 in September. In a recent blog post that’s going viral, Anthropic engineer Addy Osmani and two colleagues broke down how they’ve adjusted their workflow to scale with that volume. The biggest shift: AI now handles the bulk of code reviews, freeing engineers to focus on the highest-risk changes.

With Softr’s CIO guide, CIOs can:

  • Enable business teams to build within IT-defined guardrails.

  • Maintain visibility into apps, data, users, and permissions.

  • Keep routine changes with the business, not in IT’s queue.

Claude can do much more than generate text. In this tutorial, you’ll learn how to turn a single visual style guide into a complete, professional brand system — including print-ready websites, posters, and more.

We’ll build the brand identity for a business using a simple three-step workflow:

  • Create print-ready brand assets from a style guide

  • Add a self-grading audit that automatically catches design problems

  • Package the finished workflow as a reusable Claude Skill

FROM THE FRONTIER

Anthropic just opened its books for the first time ever. Wall Street’s reaction could determine the industry’s future.

Made with Midjourney

For years, everything we knew about Anthropic’s finances came from leaks or rumors. The lab just filed its pre-IPO paperwork, revealing hard numbers for the first time just weeks ahead of potentially the biggest public listing ever.

Lifting the hood: Just how profitable are Claude, Cowork, and Code?

  1. Fast growth: The filing confirmed that Anthropic brought in $16B in revenue for the first half of 2026, up 1,300% year over year. It also reported $131B in cash on hand, calming fears that it has been burning through funding.

  2. Narrowing losses: The company’s operating loss shrank to $693M from $2B a year earlier. Its $81B net loss, which alarmed many at first, mostly stemmed from a $72B accounting adjustment — not the underlying business. It also has substantial bills coming due: roughly $800B in future compute agreements.

  3. Lean and lucrative: For every employee, Anthropic generates $6.6M in trailing-twelve-month revenue.

  4. A scaling masterclass: Anthropic may represent one of the most efficient business scale-ups in history, according to SemiAnalysis.

  5. Nearly 100 pages of risks: Most S-1s warn about competition. Anthropic’s covers everything from authoritarian abuse of its models to AI spiraling out of control.

🌡 Temperature Check. Anthropic’s shares are expected to begin trading the week of November 16, when public investors will weigh in on its valuation for the first time. Their verdict — buy, sell, or hold — will likely shape sentiment across the AI sector.
