Welcome back, Superhuman. You have to respect the hustle. Soham Parekh, the notorious software engineer who went viral for secretly working at multiple AI startups at once, has finally revealed his secret. He claims to work an incredible 140 hours a week, or roughly 20 hours a day. Of course, given his track record, it’s probably wise to take that number with a grain of salt.

Today: OpenAI’s new study feature, agentic voice agents, and the first ā€œAI office suite.ā€ Plus, learn how to virtually try on clothes with AI, and get the latest prompts, headlines and trending social posts.

1. OpenAI preps game-changing study feature: Some ChatGPT users have noticed a new tool called ā€œstudy togetherā€ appearing in their drop-down menus. It looks like it’ll turn ChatGPT into an interactive study buddy: Instead of just telling you the right answer, it’ll actually challenge you to solve problems on your own, helping you master new concepts. The name also suggests that multiple users can join the same session and study together. It could be an olive branch to teachers, who’ve been struggling to keep up with their students’ AI usage.

2. Startup opens access to the first ā€˜AI office suite’: What if AI could chip away at some of the 2.5 trillion hours we collectively spend on office work each year? That’s the premise behind a new platform called Context that can ā€œthink, learn, and use tools just like you do.ā€ You can ask it for help with presentations, data analysis, and in-depth research, and it supposedly features state-of-the-art long context understanding, letting it take on more complicated tasks than its rivals. (Here’s a video overview with more details.)

3. New platform lets you build voice agents with model of your choice: This year has already seen the release of multiple mind-blowing voice models from little-known startups like Sesame, Nari Labs, and Resemble AI. But these open-source models aren’t always easy to build off of, unless you have a lot of technical expertise. Now, a Y Combinator-backed startup called Vogent has unveiled an ā€œall-in-oneā€ platform that lets you easily switch between models and design your own agents with them. (This life-like AI podcast generator made by Vogent’s CEO is just one example of what you can create.)

Isomorphic Labs gears up for its first AI-designed human drug trials

If you’re looking for a company goal, you can’t get much more ambitious than ā€œsolving all diseases.ā€ That’s exactly what Alphabet’s Isomorphic Labs has in mind. The company was spun out from Google DeepMind in 2021 after the success of the protein-prediction model AlphaFold, which earned its creators a Nobel Prize.

Now, it’s taking things to the next level: Through a series of research breakthroughs, AlphaFold can now predict which drugs work especially well for treating particular diseases. While current drug trials yield only about a 10% success rate, the company believes its latest models could help researchers determine from the outset whether a particular medication will be effective.

Things are moving fast: With a fresh $600M in funding, Isomorphic Labs told Fortune that it’ll soon launch its first human trials. Meanwhile, its researchers are currently ā€œcollaborating with AI to design drugs for cancerā€ as well as treatments for immune diseases.

The company faces some stiff competition: According to GlobalData, AI has already helped isolate or repurpose at least 3,000 drugs that are making their way through the trial process. And the race is only accelerating. With major pharma companies, startups, and academic labs all pouring resources into AI-driven drug discovery, it’s looking more likely that the next medical breakthrough will come from a neural network.
