Welcome back, Superhuman. It appears that no part of the modern world is untouched by AI, even the Catholic Church. Pope Leo XIV released the Catholic Church’s first doctrinal statement on AI — and some AI companies may not like what he has to say.
Today: AI pressures McKinsey’s pricing model, how to create professional slides with Grok, and get the latest prompts and trending social posts.

1. AI is blowing up consulting’s business model: As AI handles more of the analytical grunt work consultants once billed by the hour, clients are demanding fees tied to actual outcomes, according to the Financial Times. Now, McKinsey is restructuring partner pay to absorb the revenue unpredictability that comes with it. It’s an industry-wide trend, with law firms and auditors facing similar pressures to pass AI efficiency savings on to clients.
2. The Vatican hands Anthropic its most powerful endorsement yet: Pope Leo XIV has released the Catholic Church’s first doctrinal statement on AI, calling on the world to protect human dignity from AI's advance, with Anthropic co-founder Chris Olah at his side. The document, which aligns squarely with Anthropic's public positioning, follows a year of outreach by Anthropic to faith communities, handing the company’s safety-first approach a major reputational win.
3. Huawei says it will match cutting-edge chips by 2031: Despite years of US sanctions blocking access to specialized equipment, the company claims to have created a "feasible and affordable" design pathway that puts it on track to produce chips competitive with TSMC's next-generation 1.4nm processes by 2031. The move comes as the Chinese government banned local firms from buying Nvidia and other US chips.

FROM THE FRONTIER
Token-maxxing is Silicon Valley's new status symbol. Can anyone afford it?

Made with Midjourney
"Token-maxxing" — maximizing AI usage measured in tokens — is the hottest new productivity metric in tech. Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang lit the fuse earlier this year when he said he'd be "deeply alarmed" if a $500,000 engineer wasn't burning at least $250,000 in tokens annually. Meta took it further, building an internal leaderboard called "Claudeonomics" that ranked more than 85,000 employees by token consumption.
But the race to burn tokens has a dark side. At Salesforce, developers began burning tokens on projects they'd never ship, just to stay above the usage threshold. At Amazon, workers reportedly gamed the internal AI tool with trivial tasks to climb the rankings. Perverse incentives set by token-maxxing are becoming increasingly visible across the industry.
The backlash is now corporate. Microsoft is pulling Claude Code, citing the AI industry's shift from flat-rate to token-based billing as too costly to sustain. Uber said it has burned through its full 2026 AI budget by April, with per-engineer costs running $500–$2,000 a month. Many companies are now asking the same question: is token spend a proxy for productivity — or just a very expensive way to look busy?

First Principles Analysis
ChatGPT Prompt: Act as a strategic problem-solving advisor and use the First Principles mental model to analyze the following work problem from the ground up: [Insert situation]. Break the problem down into its most basic, undeniable truths instead of relying on assumptions, industry norms, past habits, or “this is how it’s usually done” thinking. Start by clearly defining the core problem, the desired outcome, and why this problem matters. Then identify every assumption being made about the situation, including assumptions about people, processes, resources, timing, constraints, customers, costs, tools, and expected outcomes. For each assumption, challenge whether it is actually true, partially true, unproven, outdated, or based on convenience. Rewrite each assumption into a verifiable truth or testable question. Once the fundamentals are clear, reconstruct the best possible solution from scratch using only those truths. Propose a redesigned approach that removes unnecessary complexity, focuses on the real constraint, and creates the most efficient path to the desired result. Provide a clear step-by-step solution path, explain the reasoning behind each step, highlight the key risks or trade-offs, and recommend an execution plan with priorities, owners, timelines, success metrics, and next actions. Keep the analysis practical, direct, and focused on what can actually be done.Vintage Travel Stamp Illustration

ChatGPT Image 2.0: Create an ultra-detailed vintage postage stamp style travel illustration for: [INSERT DESTINATION].
Design it as a collectible nostalgic travel stamp with a vertical 2:3 layout, perforated stamp border, and aged paper texture. The style should blend retro travel poster, mid-century tourism illustration, and vintage airmail stamp aesthetics. Use a clean vector look with subtle painterly texture, muted pastel colors, soft shadows, atmospheric depth, and a warm nostalgic mood.
Include:
Top text: country/region name + vintage postal text like “50¢ AIR MAIL” or “INTERNATIONAL POST”
Bottom text: large destination name + a short tourism slogan
Perfect, readable typography with elegant vintage travel-poster styling
The central illustration should capture the visual identity and emotional soul of the destination, featuring 3–8 iconic landmarks, local architecture, cultural elements, signature scenery, and regional atmosphere.
Add foreground details like vintage cars, bicycles, pedestrians, cafés, street lamps, and market life. Include layered middle and background scenery such as historic buildings, skylines, mountains, rivers, oceans, temples, forests, or sunset skies, depending on the location.
Make it feel timeless, romantic, elegant, cinematic, and premium like a luxury postcard stamp collected from around the world.IN CASE YOU MISSED IT
