“The real world impact has come much faster with AI than it did with mobile.” Unlike mobile, where cultural adoption preceded business transformation, Krieger says AI is simultaneously disrupting both consumer behavior and enterprise operations. The dollars are flowing on both the consumer and business sides at once. This means companies need to think about their AI strategy from day one.

Moats come from outcomes, not fine-tuned models. Competitive advantage depends on measurable business impact, deep go-to-market expertise, and proprietary connected data. Fine-tuned models alone don’t guarantee a lasting edge. Krieger emphasizes that understanding your customer’s vertical and linking unique data to frontier models is what separates winners from the rest.

Look for these 3 signals when building agents. Successful AI products aren’t about flashy features — they focus on tangible outcomes. Krieger highlights three key signals: clear success metrics (like faster ticket resolution or shorter legal workflows), strong daily adoption, and systems that improve automatically as models evolve. Flexible agentic designs compound their value over time, while rigid, flowchart-like systems fail to scale.

Design still matters. Even in the age of conversational AI, transparency, UX, and brand consistency remain non-negotiable. Users need to understand agent decisions, especially in non-linear workflows. He stresses thoughtful design, extensive evaluation across multiple verticals, and prioritizing human skills like planning, UX thinking, and customer insight — all essential for building trustworthy, scalable AI products.

1. Google’s new AI model spots tumors invisible to humans: The search giant and Yale University unveiled C2S-Scale, a 27-billion-parameter AI model that can detect cancer signals in individual cells. Built on Google's Gemma architecture, the model went beyond traditional analysis by suggesting a novel approach: using the drug “silmitasertib” with low-dose interferon to make “cold” tumors more visible to the immune system. Lab tests confirmed its predictions.

2. Anthropic launches smaller, cheaper AI model: Claude Haiku 4.5 is designed to deliver strong performance while keeping costs low and latency minimal. Benchmarks show it trails Sonnet 4.5 slightly but matches Sonnet 4, GPT-5, and Gemini 2.5 on key tasks like tool use, coding, and visual reasoning. Anthropic claims that Haiku 4.5 is perfect for lightweight deployments, running parallel agents, or any application where speed matters.

3. Google drops new AI video model: Flow, the company’s AI filmmaking tool, is getting upgraded with Veo 3.1. Users can now generate audio for features like “Ingredients to Video” and “Frames to Video.” Users can also build multi-image scenes, extend clips beyond a minute, and create smooth transitions with audio.
