Welcome back, Superhuman. OpenAI just dropped its response to Nano Banana Pro: GPT Image 1.5. The new-and-improved image model is also powering the new Images feature in ChatGPT. To promote the updates, OpenAI posted some interesting images of CEO Sam Altman.

1. OpenAI rolls out new-and-improved ChatGPT Images: ChatGPT Images now features up to 4x faster image generation, stronger instruction following, and better detail preservation. The company’s new image model, GPT Image 1.5, also offers more sophisticated editing capabilities, allowing users to add, subtract, combine, blend, and/or transpose elements. OpenAI teased the release with an AI-generated yearbook photo of Sam Altman. Try it out by navigating to “Images” in ChatGPT or watch it in action here.

2. Google tests Gmail productivity agent, CC: Google Labs announced CC, an experimental productivity agent powered by Gemini that connects to your Gmail, Calendar, and Drive. CC’s key feature: emailing you daily “Your Day Ahead” briefings that outline key tasks for the day, like meetings, appointments, or bills. Want CC to handle tasks for you? 3. Stock slide. The stock prices of Broadcom, Oracle, and CoreWeave — three pillars of the AI infrastructure boom — have each tumbled 15% or more since last week. Fear is starting to spark across Wall Street as some investors ask: Is the AI bubble finally bursting? Here’s what’s going on.

Big bets require big debt. These three companies (among others) are racing to build infrastructure that will continue to power AI's explosive growth — but they're borrowing heavily to do it. CoreWeave's entire business model runs on borrowing, and Oracle ended last quarter with $108 billion in debt. Investors are starting to grow nervous.

Shifting sentiment. The selloff signals a clear shift: Wall Street wants to start seeing a clear path to returns, not lofty growth projections. The problem? Data centers can take at least three years to build, making it difficult to project when these massive bets will actually pay off.

But the AI boom hasn’t slowed down. Nvidia just posted $57 billion in quarterly revenue — up 62% year-over-year — with CEO Jensen Huang declaring that "cloud GPUs are sold out." Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud both saw double-digit revenue growth last quarter, and Google has a $155 billion backlog of enterprise customers waiting for capacity.

While the companies building AI infrastructure might be struggling with debt, the companies using that infrastructure can't get enough.
