Welcome back, Superhuman. Talking to AI has always felt frustratingly slow. You talk. It listens. Vice versa. But OpenAI might’ve just changed this, with a new voice model that’s so human-like, even your grandma can chat with it (see the video below). Plus, SpaceXAI and Cursor revealed an “Opus-like” model.

Today: Monogram launches visual first AI, how to give your AI agent a real email inbox, and get the latest prompts and trending social posts.

TODAY IN AI

Click to listen to OpenAI’s realistic new voice model coming to ChatGPT.

1. OpenAI rolls out GPT-Live, while GPT-5.6 gets cleared for public launch: GPT-Live is OpenAI’s new family of voice models that can listen and speak at the same time, which makes chatting with the AI feel much more conversational. It’s rolling out in ChatGPT now. Separately, the GPT-5.6 family of models is rolling out publicly after the US Commerce Department ended a weeks-long restriction. Listen to the new ChatGPT Voice.

2. Monogram raises $40M to launch AI with a visual-first interface: Monogram’s app swaps the traditional text-based chat window for an interactive user interface that generates on the fly to answer your questions or requests. It’s designed to make everyday use cases for AI — like finding movies to watch, brainstorming dinner recipes, or planning trips — feel more natural. See how it works or try the iOS app.

3. SpaceXAI and Cursor launch their first frontier model: SpaceXAI — which is officially the company’s new name after rebranding — launched Grok 4.5, the lab’s smartest model yet and its first release since acquiring the AI coding startup Cursor. Grok 4.5 is comparable to leading frontier models and excels at coding, agentic tasks, and office work. It also plugs in with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Watch the model in action.

FROM THE FRONTIER

Need a starting point for AI? Try letting it handle the “work around the work”

Made with Midjourney

The data behind Anthropic’s update. Anthropic turned Claude Cowork into a cross-device platform on Tuesday, but the announcement buried an interesting takeaway: 50% of the work that Claude Cowork handles comes from just two categories. Anthropic calls it: the work around the work.

How people use Claude Cowork. Anthropic analyzed 1.2M anonymized sessions from May, and found that business operations — tasks like building trackers, pulling scattered updates into a report, or making onboarding checklists — made up 33% of all usage. The runner-up (16%) was content creation, or drafting decks, posts, and proposals. The pattern: these are tasks that need to get done at nearly every company, but rarely belong to any one person's job description.

The takeaway. The most common use cases for Claude Cowork involve tasks that track and communicate information across teams. If you find yourself doing or assigning work like this, then it may be worth handing that task to AI — freeing you and your team to tackle higher-level work.

The repositioning sends a message. Saying that Claude Cowork handles "work around the work" positions the tool as an agentic background worker, not a full end-to-end replacement. It’s a notable continuation of major AI labs walking back doom talk when it comes to AI’s role in the office.

  • Install the Nylas CLI and authenticate it using your API key.

  • Create a dedicated email address for your AI agent: nylas agent account create [email protected]

  • Add an app password so your agent can send and receive email via IMAP/SMTP: nylas agent account update [email protected] --app-password "ValidAgentPass123ABC!"

  • Send a test email to confirm the inbox is working.

  • Open the inbox to verify the email was sent successfully.

  • Check the agent status to make sure everything is running correctly.

Or do it all with one prompt: "Create a Nylas agent account called [email protected], add an app password, send a test email confirming it's live, then check the agent status."
